2026 Zimbabwe Income Tax Tables
The calculator uses the following official ZIMRA tax brackets for 2026:
| Annual Income (USD) | Rate | Cumulative Max Tax |
|---|---|---|
| $0 – $12,000 | 0% | $0 |
| $12,001 – $24,000 | 20% | $2,400 |
| $24,001 – $36,000 | 25% | $5,400 |
| $36,001 – $120,000 | 30% | $30,600 |
| $120,001 – $240,000 | 35% | $72,600 |
| $240,001+ | 40% | Varies |
Plus 3% AIDS levy on the total income tax calculated.
How the Calculation Works
Zimbabwe uses a progressive tax system. This means only the portion of income within each band is taxed at that band’s rate, not your entire income. For example, if you earn $36,000:
- First $12,000 is tax-free
- Next $12,000 ($12,001–$24,000) is taxed at 20% = $2,400
- Next $12,000 ($24,001–$36,000) is taxed at 25% = $3,000
- Subtotal: $5,400
- AIDS levy: $5,400 × 3% = $162
- Total tax: $5,562
